Often the most challenging part of painting a room is to get just the right color. There are thousands of colors to choose from. Where do you begin?
You can get color chips from the paint store.
Remember that color will appear differently in different light such as direct sunlight, overhead lights, shadows and so on.
We have a room in our house that ranges from green to gray to tan. It just depends on the time of day and the amount and type of light shining on it.
So, hold your color sample up in different places in the room and under different lighting conditions.
Probably the most important step to painting is the prep work you MUST do.
SUCH AS:
Masking
Prime
Spackle
Sanding
Caulk
Keep in mind that a good paint job depends on quality prep work. You'll be thankful later.
